MS office is an application software. Which was developed and published by Microsoft in the year 1990. It is widely used in “business” and “education” sectors through which we can create‚ view‚ edit documents‚ spreadsheets‚ presentation and data entry on database. 


In other words we can say that it is a collection of applications that help the user interface several computer tasks.

  4. Outlook- It will help us to communicate with others.

What is MS word?

Microsoft is a widely used word processing software. It is also developed by Microsoft. We can say that it is a part of Microsoft office. Used for creating‚ editing and formatting documents like letters and reports. It is the most commonly used word processor software. 


The file saved in MS word has has .docx extension. It is available for both windows and macOS. The latest version of MS word is 2019.

Step 3- select a blank document and press create button.

Step 1- click on start.

Step 2- Then all programs.

Step 3- This is the step to click on MS office.

Step 4- Then finally choose the MS excel option.



What is MS PowerPoint?

MS PowerPoint is a presentation based program that uses different types of slideshows, images, videos and other media. And it is also used for business work and education. It help users to create and deliver presentation using slides. 

Common uses:- 

  • Business Presentation- it is used for conveying information, ideas, plans from one user to another user.

  • Educational Purpose - it help students and teachers to creating presentation and making lectures and helpful for teaching materials.

  • Personal uses- it is used for creating presentation for family and friends also or for their personal objects.

The file extension for  the saved PowerPoint presentation is “.ppt”
