What is operating system?
Operating system is a system software. It is a collection of program. It works as a interface between user and Hardware of computer. User program can run in convenient and efficient manner. This system was a software and work as a manager.
Operating system is a important part of almost every computer system which manages the resources of computer system. Such as microprocessor‚ primary and secondary storage devices & input/output devices.

Windows :
Windows is a specific type of operating system developed and marketed by Microsoft. And it is known for graphical user interface(GUI). Meaning it uses icons and as a visual interface for users to interact with the computer. Windows are pre-installed in personal computers(PCs).
Windows provide a user-friendly interface with:
Desktop
Taskbar
Start menu
Icons
The first version of windows‚w windows 1.0‚ was released in 1985.
Key functions of an operating system including windows:
Processor Management- Allocation of processors to different works being done by the computer system.
Memory Management - assignment of main memory and other storage areas to the system programs‚ user programs and data.
Input/output Management- Proper interaction and allocation of the various input and output devices when different programs are being execute.
File Management- keeping record of files on various storage devices and move all these from one device to another. It provides facilitity to all fields to be easily changed by the use of text editors.
Switching from job to job as guided by special control statements automatically.
Understand the meaning of commands and instructions.
Making interfacing and allocation of compilers‚ assemblers‚ utility programs‚etc to the various users of the computer system.
Help easy interfacing between the computer system and the human operator
Goals of operating system:
There are two goals of operating system.
Primary goal.
Secondary goal.
1. Primary goal: It is also called convenience. The primary goal of operating system is to make computer system easier for user.
2. Secondary goal: It is also called efficient. The secondary goal of operating system is to allocate the system resources to various applications program as efficiently as possible.
You have to also installed or uninstalled the software by this type:
To installed software in a window computer‚ you can download the installer and follow the on-screen installer. To uninstalled software‚ you can use the start menu‚ control panel or an uninstaller program.
1. Install software:
Download the installer from a trusted source
Double-click the installer file
Follow the on-screen instructions.
2. Uninstall software:
Select Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps
Press and hold or right-click on the program you want to remove
Select Uninstall or Uninstall/Change
3. Uninstall software using Control Panel:
Click the search area in your taskbar
Type "Control Panel," then select it
Choose Programs > Programs and Features
Find the program you want to delete, and right-click on it
Choose Uninstalled or installing option.
